About

My name is Kathy.  I have an awesome husband and we have 3 amazing, little individuals that are growing faster than we can keep up.  I enjoy singing, reading, sleeping and cleaning and someday when the kids are older I will have time for all of that!  In the meantime my new focus is seeking God’s wisdom in my day to day and learning to rely on him—wholly.

    Kathy,
When your family lived in Dallas my family went to church with yours. Your dad was pastor at Pleasant Wood when we went there. Since they left Dallas, I also have moved on. I now live in Scurry, Texas. Both of my parents have gone to be with the Lord. I have shared your health issue with my church, Mt. Olive Baptist, and we will be praying for you and your family in the days to come. We all know who the GREAT PHYSICIAN is and that everything is in His hands. Please tell your parents hello for me and I hope you have a very Merry CHRISTmas. God bless each of us.

    Hi Kathy!

Saw your cousin John at our church (Concord) trivia contest Saturday night March 6 and we were literally devasted at the news of your cancer.
Just wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and we send our best wishes and love to you! It was soooo much fun to be around you at SCBC, we miss your wonderful effervescent personality, your warm friendly smile, and your artistry…..yes we remember and still have the pictures of the great make-up job you did on Jeff for some of the drama ministry presentations….LOL!
If there is EVER anythingwe can do for you, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE to call upon us….we’re always just a phone call away.
Love the pictures of you with no hair! Jeff is right with you as he gets his head shaved bald EVERY year for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation (www.stbaldricks.org)! This year’s event was just this last Saturday (March 6) at Helen Fitzgerald’s in Sunset Hills. He raised $1,700.00+ for childhood cancer research surpassing his initial goal of $1,500.00! YOU look beautiful as always, hair or no hair!
When and IF you are ever up for visitors, we’d love to come spend some time with you!
Take care and God bless……keep in touch and keep us updated!

Kathy, Hello there. Let me introduce myself- I am a member of FBCA and learned of your situation though mutual friends. You have been on my heart ever since. I have noticed when you have been at church, before and after your surgery, and have been completely blown away! I have had my own physical problems the last year and 1/2, but nothing, I mean nothing, in comparison to the amazing battle you have been fighting. So I wanted you to know that when I have seen you and then heard you sing (that wonderful Sunday night singing we had), God has been using it in my life. Praise God for His faithfulness and thank you for believing Him. I have found myself just not believing He can do it. I know, how awful to type, but that is the truth. I have been living like I have no hope! Seriously, I needed a swift kick in the bottom! I have spent so much time trying to do and fix it myself. No wonder I was getting nowhere. So thank you for being a part of “my healing”. The fact that you have lived out loud the pain and suffering you have went through and continue to praise and trust God is an amazing testimony to God’s wonderful faithfulness, love, kindness…… I could go on of course! God bless you and I look forward to meeting you sometime! In Christ’s amazing love, Amy
